Good morning, It is 5:00am California time. I woke up at 2:00 am which would be 5:00am PA time. My body wakes up automatically at that time. I think I will go wash my bike. A couple of days ago when I left the bad lands to go to cody I also was able to ride out to Devils Tower area or I should say to the point I could see Devils Tower. It was a 28 mile off of highway 90. A real beautiful ride. It was around 7:00am and I was the only person driving that way at the time. I drove about 20 miles and was able to see the tower. Its quite a sight. I figured sense I could see it I didn't need to drive all the way there and touch it. That day was a real sight seeing day. It included the badlands state park, Mount Rushmore, the Black Forest, Deadwood. When I left Deadwood and went to Cody I took highway 14 through Buffalo, Wyoming. The road takes you through Tensleep canyon. It is an awesome ride and the Mountains are spectacular. This is before Yellow Stone. Yellow Stone is still a couple of hours away. The man at the buffalo visitor center where I stopped told me to go that way through Tensleep because it is so scenic. He also told me to turn off on to this other road and that is would cut off a little time and was also more scenic than the other way. I don't know what the other way looked like but the way I went was like being in Hell. It was so hot, at least 105 degrees, and there was not a tree in sight. I have never been in a state that could be a beautiful oasis and then turn into a Hot sightless hell hole, within a couple of miles. Before all this I stopped in Buffalo and washed my bike. I just could not take it anymore. It was full of dead bugs and dust and sun block lotion and gas. You get the picture. Anyway that's all for now. I am going to go wash my bike while the luggage is off of it. Have a good Day. Oh yea one more little thing. Now that I am talking about washing my bike. When I was in Deadwood I parked my bike in a parking garage. The place where I was staying didn't have parking on sight. Everybody parks in garages. When I was getting ready to leave I was in the garage loading by bike and there was this person ,a young man or boy, sweeping the garage with a small street sweeper that you drove. This thing was kicking up so much dust. When I got to my bike I noticed that it had about a eighth inch of dust on it. I could hear this noise of the sweeper a story above me. As soon as I started to load my bike the guy driving decided that it was time to sweep by me again and again. I mean dust was thick as fog. You could hardly breath and all my luggage was getting coated. I kept looking at him and he would smile. I was getting ready to start yelling, when he drove off. I told the man at the collection booth that the guy driving was a As------e. He kind of agreed. All is well. Have a good day. And I love you Kristin.

Hello to whoever is reading this. I will start where I am now and work backwards. The days are long and it is hard to remember where I was two days ago. As I write I am in south lake tahoe staying at the Horizon casino resort. I figured that sense I will be staying at my mothers for a couple of days that I would treat myself to a nice place for the night. Don't get me wrong, my mothers is a very nice place, its just my mothers. Anyway, I left Salt Lake City,Utah at about 5:30 this morning (Saturday). It was storming. The rain was coming down pretty hard. I didn't care, I wasn't going to stay in another motel that didn't have wifi, for another minute. It rained all the way across the salt lake. The lake is huge and highway 80 runs for miles and mile.It rained for about three hours. It didn't stop until I arrived at the salt flats. The salt flats are really trippy. Nothing but salt for as far as you can see. You can walk out on it..I'm glad that I was wearing my rain gear because it was cold when I crossed into Nevada. The desert is cold in the morning. The road was straight and in great condition except where there was roadwork. When there was work going on it would be for miles at a time. I rode 600 miles today. I arrived here at about 4;00 pacific time. The ride through the Sierras was beautiful. Now for the ride from Cody WY to Salt Lake, Utah. I arrived at Cody at around 5:00. I figured that I would just go to Yellow Stone and spend the night in the park at a resort. When I got to the entrance at around 6:00, the ranger told me that there were no vacancies. I turned around and went back to Cody , which is 50 miles. I ended up staying at a super 8 for $140.00. By the time I got there I was tired and didn't care. It was about 7:00 by then. I asked if there was internet hookup and he assured me there was. When I tried to us it needless to say it did not work. The next day I drove through Yellow Stone. It really is beautiful. You can stop every 1/8 of a mile or so and see something beautiful. You could stay there a month and never see it all. The mts. are awesome. The whole park is. The ranger the day before told me to get there before eight if I didn't want to wait in line with cars. I was there around 7:00. Most people were not up yet. I went in the east gate. It takes about one hour and 45 minutes to get to old faithful. I really lucked out. I only had to wait 45 seconds before old faithful did her thing. As soon as it started I yelled out There She Blows. Everyone turned around and look at be like I was nuts. Oh well. From there I stopped at a few different places, rivers, lakes, elks, before I left the park through the west gate. When I was leaving ,the cars coming in the park through the west gate ,were bumper to bumper for at least 3 or 4 miles. Unreal. When I left the park I was in Montana. I don't think I was in the state for more than 30 minutes. From Montana I crossed into Idaho. I rode for hours through Idaho which is also a beautiful state. Giant mts. and green valleys. Then I reached Utah. I was on route 15. It became very hot. I was driving along at about 80 miles an hour on this straight and longs stretch when all of a sudden the white thing went flying by my right eye. I thought it was a moth or paper ,when I remembered that I had put my credit card in my shirt pocket. I had put it there because I got gas and after I pumped the gas I put the card in my shirt as I pulled up to the store ,thinking I would put it in the suitcase. Well I forgot to put it in the suitcase, and when I discovered that it was in my pocket I just buttoned the pocket thinking that the card would be safe. Needless to say it flew out of my pocket and by the time I figured out that that was my card I had traveled about a mile or so. I stopped and walked back in the 100 degrees heat looking for the card. I walked back on the side of the road I was traveling and then crossed over the two lanes and walked the median back to my bike. I didn't find it. I decided to try it again and walked back about a mile. I went so far that I couldn't see my bike. Again I walked on the one side and then crossed to the other side. There it was, in the grass. I was quite happy. Then I started thinking, someone could steal all my stuff on the bike, or my bike, and all I would be able to do is watch. I ran back to the bike. I finally arrived in salt lake city sometime in the evening. After I paid for the room I rented the person informed me that they didn't have wifi. By them I was so tired I didn't care. Thats all I can write for now.I will tell the rest tomorrow. Good night. Danny. I really miss Kristin and the kids.

Hi All, sorry to disappoint, this is just Kristin...not blogger king Dan. He wanted me to post a note to inform all his "Followers"that he has had a couple of nights of Internet bad luck. Last night he pulled into a place that said "Free WiFi"....it was free...it was also broken. Tonight he was loured in with the sign's promise of $56 a night. He forgot to look for the "free wifi" sign. The guy at the desk did offer to let him use the hotel's computer...Danny declined. So he is in Salt Lake City and hopes to hit Tahoe tomorrow..then he will really be back on home turf. Back in "the day" he used to trek over the mountain from the bay area to Tahoe....he has a couple of winning stories about that. Maybe he should continue his blog after the epic trip with stories from his past. Anyway he has promised to update us all with pictures and words tomorrow night. I told him that we, his loyal followers, will be waiting with baited breath.

Hello people, I left mitchell this morning at 6:30am. It was a little cool and I had to use my levi jacket. It 's great to ride in the morning. It is my favorite time to ride. There's not a lot of traffic and the weather is cool. I rode about 200 miles to the badlands national park. The ride was awesome. The roads are newly paved and straight for miles. I won't tell you how fast I went or how I drove for five miles with no hands. The road was perfect. Before I arrived at the badlands park I stopped at a little place that has petrified wood and fossils of shell fish in rocks that are from the badlands. Then I went to the badlands national park. It is a real breathtaking place. The views are spectacular. I drove through the park and came out at walls SD. Another little town that sells all the tourist stuff. From walls I went to Mount Rushmore. Everything about it is big. It is a true marvel..Then from Mount Rushmore I rode to Deadwood, and now I am staying at the Bullock Hotel. It is a very old hotel. It's pretty cool. I am very sunburned on my face and lips. Today was the first day that I didn't wear a helmet and I think that had something to do with me getting so sunburned. Now it is time to say goodnight. Tomorrow I will be going somewhere else. Danny
